The series you see in my portfolio is inspired by 1940s noir film, mystery pulp, and last, but not least, by Sin City the movie and the book. The reason for this is my fascination with 1940s Black and White cinematography – which was and remains the best ever light for BW film. I also love 1940s fashions and collect 30s and 40s clothes.

Hey Alex, did you take the photo in this article?
Unfortunately not – if only I could find that model! Its an interesting concept though – with or without syringe – i have some old photos etc and i love ‘period costumes’
Yeah it is a great photo, and I love the syringe and the tatts on her arm.
I guess the reason for my question is due to the paragraph above the photo which reads “The series you see in my portfolio….”. Now, because you have placed in quotation marks the other excerpts from other artists in the paragraphs above, it is unclear if you are stating that the above photo is from YOUR portfolio, or if you are using someone else’s written work in your article without acknowledging that person.
It is my understanding that you are only able to provide a LINK to another artist’s work within your blog, and need the artists consent to put the actual photograph in.
Interesting point, need to check on that Alex.. Don’t want to upset anybody.
i think the problem was that my opening article for this series was moved down the page – i have now put it back to part 1 of the series – the purpose is to inspire others who could possibly do with adding some spice to their camera love – For the THRILL of it -
