jeffersonJefferson says about himself….

I’m a photographer, dork, artist, lover, martini drinking world traveler.  A cynical optimist realist non-religious punk with a good imagination, and with very good intentions almost.  Usually it works out.  Sort of a dirty farm kid sophisticant that likes books and to write.  I like to cook.  I like jokes.  I have a degree in Biology, but I take pictures.

I dig funky, sexy, edgy, sultry, alluring, abstract, emotive, opined fine or not fine art… There are endless possibilities.

I feel stuff, and think in circles, or spirals, or something.  I only shoot studio stuff, and warehouses, rooftops, bedrooms, beaches and parking lots, or wherever anywhere.  I like natural light, and fake light.  I never shoot nudes, so please don’t… wait!  Stop right there.  Now take that down, take that off.  That’s hot.  Yes.

I come from a big family and really like to SMILE.  I’m friendly.  I’ve sailed around the world, worked on fishing boats in Alaska, I’ve been a firefighter, worked for hospitals, police departments, rafting companies, and’ve had various adventures round the globe.  I’m just getting started.

About the Author

My interest in photography goes back as far, if not further, than I can remember. My Grandfather had a thing called a box brownie and i remember being amazed at how it recorded history. I was given a 120 film camera when I was about 10 as evidenced by some black and white photos I recently found of my sister when she was 5 or so - she turned 40 in 2008. So from recording history, through the passage of an EOS 5 film into digital and moving into a desire to 'make images' rather than take photos, I find myself here. Photography. "For the thrill of it." Photography. "It's where life is happening." Photography. "When time stands still." Photography. "Maybe it's just about being there again."
