Alex says, I was thrilled to talk with Marc this morning whilst he was sweltering in the Seattle afternoon heat. Marc is clearly very dedicated to his work as his images show. I am priveleged to be able to show you just a few of his magnificient work. I urge you to visit www.marcadrianfoto.com
Marc Adrian is a Seattle based Advertising & Editorial Photographer, traveling for assignments around the World.
His work is used by clients such as, National Geographic, Porsche Cars North America Inc., Pepe Jeans, El Corta Ingles Madrid, Gerber Legendary Blades, Fox Sports Network, Men’s Fitness etc……
All the images were shot with an H3D & 1 Profoto 600R pack with either a grid reflector or a 3ft Octabox, making it possible to shoot some cool stuff on location without a truck load of lighting gear.

I am very fortunate to work with some extremely talented individuals, such as; Makeup Artists Bebe Booth in Los Angeles (Bebe worked on all the images above during a recent 10 day trip to Europe ~ http://www.dripbook.com/bebebooth) & Dawn Tunnell Seattle WA, (www.dawntunnell.com ~ we just finished a 2 day shoot with Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition Designer Heidi Fish on location today! LOL!) that allow me to create powerful story lines with my camera.
My philosophy is to simplify things as much as possible when shooting on location. You really don’t need to have multiple strobe heads to produce creative lighting techniques & often, I find using a single Profoto 600R pack is, in many instances more than adequate to get the look I am going for.
What I have noticed with using Hasselblad’s H3D system, is that while the resolution is fantastic, its the color depth it captures that really puts it in a different league to a Dslr.
Think of a Dslr like a Nikon D700 or a Canon 5DmkII as high definition TV & an H3D as an IMAX experience… both are good to look at but the IMAX imagery has an “Epic” quality to it that you just don’t get from TV.
I will warn you, once you decide to pick up & shoot with a Hasselblad, life will never be the same! … haha!!
