Dima says “Hi, my name is Dima Otvertchenko and I am a filmmaker and photographer currently living in Los Angeles (originally from the NY/NJ area).
I am currently a 24-year-old graduate student at the Production track of the USC School of Cinematic Arts. I am a graduate of the Vassar College film program and I’m interested in every creative aspect of visual storytelling: writing, directing, acting, photography, drawing, editing, music, etc. My primary influences are the sci-fi/action/adventure films of the 80s: The Terminator, Aliens, Back to the Future, RoboCop, Total Recall, The Abyss, Predator, The Fly.
I am the designer and caretaker of this website that I use as a resume, press kit, demo reel, and a comprehensive online portal to all my filmmaking, photography, and artistic projects in general.”

Hi, thanks for featuring my photos on the blog!
The process for these three photos was all pretty different. The first has almost no post work done to it except for the fact that it was shot in only 3 feet of water (that’s why they’re spread out low and flat).
The second was in a bigger pool but obviously with a composite against a sky background.
The last pic was shot on a hilltop in Los Angeles in front of the famous Hollywood Cross. The red NO ring is a posterboard cutout I made for the model to hold up.
