There are reports now that seem to confirm the imminent arrival of the new Nikon AF-S Nikkor 70-200 mm f/2.8G ED VR II.
If the reports are correct the NEW model should have the following specs:
- Stabilization system VR II
- Nano coating (read Nikon’s description of what this is here)
- New faster Auto Focus
- Weight 1540g (70 grams more than the current model)
- 209mm length (slightly shorter than the current model)
- Minimum Focus Distance: 1.4m (for the current model is 1.5m)
- 77mm filter (same as the current model)
Probably due in Australia sometime before Christmas….
