There is a worrying trend online. Many actually. Some pram sellers seem to have taken on selling cameras. What’s that about? Is it some weird notion of setting up a department store? How long will it be before you can pop into your dentist’s office and at the same time get a new set of Goodrich radials for the 4WD?
We laugh in our office that one of our slogans should be “We don’t sell prams!”
What do you think about non-stockist of goods pretending to stock all things including the proverbial sink? Do you think the bulk of the population are fooled by the facades?
Hmmmmmm

Well look, for a while I have not taken the retail industry with their little protected shop-fronts seriously. I just don’t go there anymore, especially when you know they just got another visit from, for example, Nikon Australia, giving you firm advice not to buy online for “obvious reasons”.
The scare tactics are not working anymore.
Besides, why should I put up with a miserable sales-assistant who had a bad weekend, giving me the shits and I still have to pay top-dollar for the treatment?
I say: “Keep the pram and go to sleep in it in peace”!
So let them sell whatever they want.
As long as places like camerasdirect don’t try to sell me prams, plastic fish-ponds or a sex-toy I am not worried.
I want sound advise, friendly service, good equipment at a fair price.
Happy days, Axel
I bought the SD110 (3.2MP) back in 2004 and decided it was time to upgrade this year as it was showing some age. The latest version of that same line is the SD1200. I have had it for a few weeks now and have a few observations. The SD1200 is much faster from the time you turn it on until it is ready to shoot as compared to the SD110. Next, the screen is far better than the one on the SD110. Very bright and readable even in sunlight.
